William R. Gale Named to the Best Lawyers in Canada List for Labour & Employment Law

William R. “Bill” Gale has been a partner at Grosman Gale Fletcher Hopkins LLP since 1989 and practices in the area of employment law. Bill has been recognized by Best Lawyers since 2010.

Bill has appeared before trial and appellate courts and has argued many reported decisions dealing with a variety of issues, including wrongful dismissal actions, human rights cases, occupational health & safety, employment contracts and pensions & benefits. He represents employees and several employers, including many arts organizations, advising them on legal issues facing them in today’s changing world.

Bill writes about employment law matters and is one of the Canadian Cases on Employment Law editors-in-chief. He is also a contributing author to the legal text New Perspectives in Canadian Employment Law. Bill has also written articles for several publications in the area of employment law, including The Employment Bulletin, and regularly speaks at professional conferences.

Bill has been referred to in the Business Magazine of the National Post as “an executive agent”, and devotes time in his employment law practice to negotiating and drafting executive contracts. He is skilled at reducing the increasingly complex nature of executive compensation to concise written documents on behalf of his executive clients.

R. Mark Fletcher Named to the Best Lawyers in Canada List for Labour & Employment Law

R. “Mark” Fletcher is a partner with Grosman Gale Fletcher Hopkins LLP and has been recognized by Best Lawyers as one of the leading employment lawyers in Canada since 2021. Mark advises and provides representation to both employers and employees in wrongful dismissal actions, executive compensation disputes, and human rights cases.

Mark is the co-editor-in-chief of the Canadian Cases on Employment Law (CCEL) and Editor for the Employment Bulletin publications. He frequently speaks on employment law and human rights law issues at The Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and Osgoode Hall Law School.
