Norman Grosman is the Managing Partner with Grosman, Grosman & Gale LLP, specializing in providing advice and representation in employment matters to corporations and executives.   

Norm has a broad trial and appellate litigation practice with a specific focus on employment law. He has acted as lead counsel on numerous complex matters, at both the trial and administrative tribunal level.

Norm is the author of Federal Employment Law in Canada and A Practical Guide to the Law of Hiring in Ontario. He is the Editor-In-Chief of the Canadian Cases on Employment Law, a digest of key employment court decisions across Canada, relied upon by lawyers in every Province. Norm is also the Editor-In-Chief for The Employment Bulletin and has written exclusively on Employment Law for Workopolis.com. He has been a regular guest speaker to the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada on a variety of employment law issues and spoke at the Canadian Employment Law Super Congress amongst a “Who’s Who of Canada’s most experienced employment lawyers”. He spoke at the annual American Bar Association Conference on quantifying employment damages in August 2011. He is often quoted as an expert on employment law matters in national publications, including the Globe and Mail and National Post. He has been interviewed on CBC Radio several times, as well.

Based upon his extensive experience acting for both employers and employees, Norm began mediating employment disputes in 2002 and has successfully resolved a number of difficult and complex employment matters which were both litigious and non-litigious. He is regularly selected as a mediator by lawyers in the Employment Law Bar for his knowledge in the field and balanced approached.

Norm has recently been referred to in a survey of 550 employment lawyers across Canada, conducted by Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, in the top category of “most frequently recommended” employment lawyers in Ontario. He was voted to “Best Lawyers in Canada” status in 2008 - 2013, and was selected by Lexpert in 2009 - 2013 as one of Canada’s top 500 lawyers.

In 2013, the Ontario Bar Association awarded him the inaugural Randall Echlin Mentorship award, in honour of the late Mr. Justice Randall Echlin of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
